About Me

     Hi! I'm Melanie Peterman, and I am a preservice teacher in the DFW area. I graduated in May 2024 from Southern Methodist University, where I earned my Master of Education (M.Ed.) with Educator Preparation. I am currently searching for my first full-time teaching position. I hope to teach 1st Grade or 2nd Grade ELAR, and I'm also interested in Special Education and Theatre Education. I am a member of Pi Lambda Theta National Honor Society for Educators and a 2022 recipient of the Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers.
